New version of Notability next week!
April 21st, 2010Students provide input on Notability for iPad
April 15th, 2010Students across the US, from Syracuse to Baylor to Carnegie Mellon to Boston University to University of Arizona to UC Santa Barbara to Chapman University are providing ideas for new features for Notability for iPad. Many have said they love Notability. We’re listening, and we look forward to hearing from every Notability customer.
I just saved thousands of dollars!!
April 10th, 2010A soundAMP R customer writes:
“I’m in heaven on earth! I have high frequency hearing loss and was very close to going the hearing aid route. But after reading they were not compatible with iPhone… I looked for another solution and soundAMP came up. Tried the free one. Impressed. Decided to spring for the entire $6.99. I tried it today in a busy luncheon and was totally impressed. Able to hear all the ladies, all the soft sounds, no jarring plate or background people noises from the other tables. I wouldn’t trade t for the world. The sounds are totally natural and I love the controls. Also the record. What a wonderful addition. Best money I have spent. Made the phone a necessity and not a nice-to-have. Thank you , thank you. I would give it 10 stars if I could…”
Notability has streamlined my note taking
April 9th, 2010A student at Syracuse University wrote yesterday and said, “Notability is very handy and has streamlined my note-taking.” And he provided suggestions to make it better, including “supporting arrows on a bluetooth keyboard, sorting notes into folders, showing size of the sessions in the Library, and better export to a computer.” We love hearing from customers, join the discussion on our Facebook Fan Page.

Notability update
April 8th, 2010The first Notability update has been sent to Apple. The update should be available on the App Store in the next couple of days.
We have heard from dozens of customers during the first week of availability. They have reported a few bugs and also requested several new features. We appreciate all of the input.
We developed Notability 1.01 based on input from customers, so please contact us directly and we will be responsive.
Specifically, we fixed a file opening issue and the volume slider issue. We enhanced Library performance, and improved web notes and searching, and we added a new text selection tool, the most frequent request this week.
Notability & iPad battery usage
April 7th, 2010We ran battery tests on iPad yesterday. Our question – what is the battery usage while taking notes with Notability?
Conditions — Notability was running, and most of it’s features, including note taking, recording, live listening (earbuds plugged in some of the time), sound equalizer and replay were used. iPad was not plugged into any power source, and battery level was 100% at the start.
Results — After 4 hours of testing, iPad’s battery level went down to 76%. This result suggests that Notability will operate on iPad for a long time. Extrapolating, the result suggests Notability will run on iPad for more than 10 hours. And this number improves significantly when earbuds are not plugged in.
Notability’s warm reception
April 5th, 2010Notability is getting a warm reception by students across the US, and for this we are happy. Notability is the #3 app for iPad in the education market. That’s nice for us. Like you, we started using Notability on iPad on Saturday, and we, like you, are finding a few items to fix. We are working directly with customers to better understand their experience, so please contact us directly at support@gingerlabs.com.
